After twenty years of a failed economic development model, with a dilapidated public education system, and following the dramatic rise in national violent crime and youth gang activity, young Salvadorans face daunting challenges as they seek to build prosperous and safer communities.
Sustainable agriculture and responsible resource management is key not only for the sustenance and livelihood of Salvadoran communities but also for autonomous economic development.
Democratic participation at the grassroots level is the foundation of SalvAide's work. By partnering with our local partners who specialise in democracy and social organization, we support projects that truly allow Salvadoran communities to attain their goals for social and economic development.
